What are your hours?
The centre operates 7.30am – 6.00pm 50 weeks of the year. A late fee is charged for children collected after 6.00pm
We are closed on public holidays and for 2 weeks over the New Year, which includes a staff professional development day.
What are your fees?
Our fees are $93 per day.
The centre has the following additional levy’s
- Maintenance levy $50.00 per year per family (charged as $25 every six months)
- Equipment and incursion levy $50.00 once a year per family (charged as $25 every six months)
- Activity Contribution levy $200 per family per year (Reimbursement based on Fees Policy)
What is the ratio of children to staff?
One caregiver to every four (1:4) children under 3 years old
One caregiver to every 11 (1:11) children over 3 years old
These ratios meet the minimum requirements as prescribed by government regulation.
Are all staff qualified?
Yes, all staff are qualified and hold either Certificate 3 in Children’s Services, a Diploma of Children’s Services, an Advance Diploma of Children’s Services or a Graduate Diploma of Teaching.
Is this a council centre?
No, it is a community based not-for profit childcare centre. City of Boroondara however owns the building.
How do I enrol at the centre?
Please download the Waiting list form. Once we have received the form and application fee you will then be placed on our waiting list.
Am I eligible for government rebates?
CKCC is a registered provider and eligible families can therefore claim certain rebates depending on their individual circumstances. For more information please refer to the Centrelink website.
Communication with parents?
The CKCC noticeboard and email are the main forms of communications.
Weekly reflections on room-specific activities are uploaded onto Storypark. Individual and term summaries are also included in Storypark on a regular basis.
Every three months, CKCC produces a newsletter for parents, the newsletter is orgranised by the Directory, Committee of Managment and staff at CKCC and emailed to all parents.
